Is anyone doing the Couch to 5K challenge? How's it going?

I did it three years ago. It's a great program. In fact, I would say it contributed to what I now call my running addiction. It's a great way to start slowly (and therefore avoid injury) and build continuously on successes. At the end, I not only finished the race, I won my age group! That was huge for me.

After the C25K try any of the beginner running programs available on Runners World (you pick your deadline 8 weeks, 12, 16, whatever and choose your goal: 10k, half-marathon, triathalon). They're also reasonable and suited to newbies. This next step helped me through the half of the Pittsburgh Marathon last May.

Yep, what Shmiller said. I started couch to 5K about a year and a half ago after hating running my entire life and hardly being able to run a whole mile even as an althetic child. Last year I ran 6 races from 5k-10k and am training for a half marathon this spring. I attribute all of my running motivation/abilities to following C25K. Starts you slow and builds up, but you can't just start and one day run a whole 5K. It definitely helped me to not give up!

Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
