I'm thinking of starting this workout but when I looked up reviews on it I've come across a few that says there's no way you will lose weight using this DVD (not that I expected to lose the advertised 5lbs a week) and that it's a waste of time.. I would like to know if anybody here has used it and seen results or should I leave it?

Unless it's a sit-on-your-couch-and-eat-bonbons workout, I would think you would lose weight using any exercise DVD that helps you burn more calories than you consume. Why do the reviewers think it's so ineffective?

The reviews say they'd recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their cardiovascular fitness but not for anyone who wants to lose weight..it seemed a bit strange to me that jillian michaels could ever come up with a DVD that didn't work but the reviews made me want the opinions of anyone here who might have the DVD themselves and to know whether they found it effective or not

Though I am not familiar with the DVD, I would think that the comments are related to "fat burning zone" or "fat burning zone myth". You can google both and decide for yourself. As with diet, there is no best exercise that fits all. Unless your body needs are very specific (traumas, illnesses), or you are training for a competition, choose the program you enjoy and can follow, and just do it.

The concept of "fat burning exercise" is deceptive. Regardless of what your exercise program, you need to strictly control your calorie intake to turn a few hundred calories burned a day into weight loss. The fact is that burning more calories will also make you hungrier. So people who just do the exercise will get in shape but probably not lose weight. When they get hungry after their workout, they eat a snack, and there goes the calorie deficit.

ow can I lose belly fat before I get over weight I need the help now?
For me, walking (aim for 10,000 steps a day) or jogging, and eating 60g (or less) of net carbs a day dramatically reduces belly fat.
