carbs in chicken???

In my Diet Calendar I entered 2 chicken thighs and the site has notched up 9.44 carbs for it!

That ccnnot POSSIBLY be right! Where are the carbs in chicken?

2 units chicken thigh 17.19 9.44 22.47 288

It's b/c the one you selected can be fried - you have to be careful when selecting meats and choosing how they are cooked. I would try to find a different chicken when searching here.

I had a quick look at your diet calendar...you've selected the battered version basically. So, unless you did batter it in bread crumbs or something like that there's probably a better option Smile . Carbs aren't from the chicken, it's the batter in that selection.

p.s. The USDA site is awesome (where that info came from) and there are definitely better options if you just fried it (which will also be on fs site, because they have imported the database from there: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/). E.g. http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/generic/chicken-thigh-fried-no-coating

DUH .... what a loony! I chose the battered chicken? Whoops, must have got confused with all those choices. Never mind, I will have to remember to change it when I input it next time. Thanks folks!
