Hi there

What are your opinions please. Is it fine to include milk in the LCHF diet.

Personally I rather use cream - and try and avoid milk because of its sugar and high carb content.

It depends on two things.

1. You count it in your carb allowance.

2. Dairy does not cause you to stall.

I have read in several places recently that because of its high carb content, skim milk should be considered not a protein food but a carb food.

If you do decide to use milk and can fit it into your allowance, it should be whole milk as an occasional treat. It can't be your beverage of choice.

Thanks eKatharine - I tend to agree with you. I also found that when I included milk in my diet that my cravings increased. I use cream instead.
