I bought the daybreak pb fudge crisp bar and the box says 2 net carbs but when I enter on my calender for today it says 6 net carbs and there is no way to edit that. Seems like the sugar alcohols on FS is incorrect, it kinda bums me out to see me carb count over 2O net when I know its not. Do some people not count the sugar alcohols? anyway, that ruined it for me and now I dont even want them if they are gonna up my net carb count. i am struggling as it is, and worry about the bars makes it worse because I am choco holic

You have to be careful adding food to your diary that has been added to the database by other people. In the case of the Daybreak bars you're referring to, whoever added that to the database, didn't enter the sugar alcohol amounts. They also didn't "share" it, so it's not editable. The best thing to do is to enter it into the database yourself, and put the total amount of fiber and sugar alcohols in the space for "Fiber". That way, when it shows up in your diary, the "net carb" count is correct. Also, the bars are well-known for making people's weight loss stall, so if you start having an issue with not losing, it might be best not to eat them.

Atkins does not count sugar alcohols, but other diets do. like Angie said, you can create a new entry minus the sugar alcohols. However, I would suggest not putting them as fiber if you are also tracking your fiber intake. Just subtract them off the total carb count. At the bottom if you choose "not to share" then it will be your private entry and no one else can edit it.

awesome thanks friends. I am just gonna get rid of the bars all together. I cut them into bite size pieces and put in baggies for "emergencies" when i feel like a need a quick sweet fix and I gave one to my son for breakfast who I secretly have put on atkins but he doesnt know it, lol

The importance of setting your Recommended Daily Intake RDI
I agree... If you stick with the default you will most likely not see the results you want. I adjust my calorie range for every 5-10 pounds lost. I need to redo mine today.
