Came here last year and did great. Lost a lot but as easter and jubilee celebrations happened my resolve disappeared.
I would love to discuss and encourage someone else to be my diet buddy.
I asked a close friend ar work but when i asked she got the wrong impression.
Just looking to here from someone having the same troubles as me.
Speak to you soon

You've got a friend in me! I check the site daily and am in two challenges currently, you should join one to keep you motivated in checking in and staying on track. I enjoy posting in the forums and reading the posts of others. Everyone has got diet troubles of some form or another, stay active on the site and it will help you in leaps and bounds!

Always need more friends! I just joined this site recently, but started Atkins on my own in November. Was steadily losing, but seemed to hit a plateau recently. But staying true and hopefully will see some change soon. What type of diet or eating plan are you doing?

My eating plan is based on convienence at the moment. Last year i lost about 20 lbs over four months and put it all back on (+a bit) the other eight months. I don't know whether to start a specific diet plan or look into improving my eating habits. How did you decide on atkins? Was it from advice or did you choose it?

I'd love to add you to my friends list. The support and accountability at this site is so helpful. Do you want to join me in a walking challenge? I just started one. The first phase last 8 weeks and we walk 100 miles in each phase. That should help too!
** Goal 1- 20 pounds- 4/30/2013
** Goal 2- get back down to wearing size 16 jeans
** Goal 3- normal blood pressure
** Goal 4- well below "One" Derland
** Goal 5- 600 miles this year in 200 mile increments
** Goal 6- Decreased back and knee pain
Blessings,

I just re-joined this site with a view to losing 5 pounds that crept on over the holidays, as well as perhaps push my fitness goals a bit further by re-setting my goal weight lower. I'd love to be your friend, and I completely agree that starting a challenge is a great way to get you started and keep you accountable. I started my fitness regime with walking, just half an hour a day. It's amazing how quickly just walking can start you on a road to health and fitness. If you're still searching for a food solution (I don't like calling it a 'diet'!), I personally have had enormous success and have changed my lifestyle completely by moving to a plant based diet. If you're interested, you could try reading "Eat To Live" by Joel Fuhrman, or check out the Engine 2 Diet at:
http://engine2diet.com/.
Best of luck with whatever you choose, and I've added you as a buddy!

Count me in if you want me as a friend! I joined a while ago but havent made a good effort, work kept getting in the way, but for the new year Im tired of not liking how I look and how I feel! I use to work out a lot but have found it difficult the older I get. I am looking to try to lose 30 pounds by my birthday at the end of july, which is a reasonable 1 pound a week. best of luck to both of us!

I would not necessarily recommend 2000 calories. Use the calculator, to make sure. The RDI (recommend det daily intake) varies a LOT from person to person. If you feel that you want a faster weight loss ...
