Hi,

You can try stretching while at your desk. Stretch your arms, legs, neck and torso while sitting. This will help prevent you from feeling stiff. You can also try stretching your shoulder, arms, wrists, ankles, calfs, chest and abdomen. All such stretching will help you out burning more calories and will keep you fit at work.

Look for opportunities to stand. You'll burn more calories standing than sitting. Stand while talking on the phone. Eat Lunch standing up.

There is much more you can do at your desk. Try googling some tips and you will have plenty. Smile

I bought a Jilian michaels exercise ball from walmart and swapped it out for my chair. It works my core all day long. It makes my back stronger too. I have used it all summer. The co workers have stopped laughing and considering to purchase their own. I always find someone on it! Take the stairs whenever possible.

My last job required lots of charting on a computer. I bought a cheap stepper and raised my laptop up to chest level and did the stepper for 1-2 hours in the afternoon.
I thought about getting one of those chairs - my current job requires charting by hand and therefore I can't use my stepper. I also no longer have the 5 flights of stairs to walk several times a day - and I wonder why my weight loss has slowed down (oh well, I"m still at it)

Anyone using the Fitbit Flex or similar devices?
I have a bodymedia fit and love it. It really helps keep you motivated and focused. It does allow you to sync with a heart rate monitor, but I find it has been a good tool regardless.
