Just joined yesterday and need to know what diet I should be doing....do I just follow the calorie amounts posted for my weight? Need to get rid of a belly. Just started on a thyroid medication that I think is helping a bit. Need to lose 12 pounds and not in a hurry...slower is always better !

Try to find a WOE that is something you can sustain and not feel deprived... I follow a low carb lifestyle because it works for me. I have never been a person that did well with moderation, quantity and quality is what I am all about! By cutting out my carbs I can eat a hearty meal and have satisying snacks, I am never hungry. Decide what type of plan you would like, counting calories, carbs, food combining, points just find one that you think you can make a lifestyle. Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012.

Still keeping to my 26" jeans, but they are too tight for comfort. too many tasty things in the US, and over Xmas.

From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, and living healthy. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier!

It's a start
I am Going to try A no carb Diet on tue & thursdays and low carb every other day. I am unable to walk much due to a Injury and am on Blood thinners which cuts down on things I can eat. Wish Me luck! ...
