Just joined yesterday and need to know what diet I should be I just follow the calorie amounts posted for my weight? Need to get rid of a belly. Just started on a thyroid medication that I think is helping a bit. Need to lose 12 pounds and not in a hurry...slower is always better !

Try to find a WOE that is something you can sustain and not feel deprived... I follow a low carb lifestyle because it works for me. I have never been a person that did well with moderation, quantity and quality is what I am all about! By cutting out my carbs I can eat a hearty meal and have satisying snacks, I am never hungry. Decide what type of plan you would like, counting calories, carbs, food combining, points just find one that you think you can make a lifestyle. Once you feel you have made the right choice for you, join a group and get all the help and advice you need to be a success.

42" jeans(25/01/2013) 40"(28/02/2013) 38"(20/03/2013) 36"(25/05/2013)
Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012.

Still keeping to my 26" jeans, but they are too tight for comfort. too many tasty things in the US, and over Xmas.

I'm counting my calories too. I try to eat fairly healthy, but generally I eat what I feel like. I register EVERYTHING, and this keeps me in check. This way, weight loss is not as hard as you think, as long as you are motivated. Smile Enjoy your journey - it can be an amazing one!
