Are you loging everything that you eat in your diet calendar? I see a lot of days when you consume only 150cals a day which is off course bad. You should start planing your meals ahead so that your calorie intake will be consistant. Most people advise eating 1200 cals a day for you weight group since you are in the normal weight range. I do the zig-zag diet so that I have different amount of cals every other day: 700/950/1200 calories. You could have one day 1100 and the next 1300cals. This is good for your metabolism. You should start working out more. Slow walks and housework only helps out the obese people. You are not burning enough calories. Hope that helps Wink I've came trough my little plateu recently with just this tips.

Try to do something which gets you out of breath, walking several miles a day is good. Just get off the bus a couple of stops from your usual one, use the stairs instead of the lift. Keep a food diary and write everything down. Fill empty yoghurt pots with sugar free jelly and if you get the nibbles have one of these. Phone a friend. Hoping to see less of you.

Sounds like not enough intake and kicking your body in to starvation mode. Check out the Atkins materials and give low carbing a try where you can eat calories and aim your body at burning fat. Hopefully that is something that would work for you

you're starving. Your body reacts to that as aeons of evolution makes it. It thinks there is no food out there at all, so it is shutting down many metabolic processes to stay alive as long as possible (in the hopes that you'll stay alive long enough to reproduce eventually). It is also cannibalizing your brain, liver, and heart to keep you alive. Eat 1200 calories a day, minimum, plus whatever you burn off in exercise, or you can wreck your metabolism permanently, and you won't like eating less than 1200 forever to maintain a larger size.

Starvation mode is very difficult to enter people, quit talking about it unless you have a peer reviewed scientific study that can back your claims, not some anecdotal gym rag article.

You are either not logging all calories, overestimating activity, or both. Also, how long have you been doing this? Patience is a virtue. Water weight can mask fat loss.
Love your food or risk failure. No quick fixes, this is a lifestyle change. No extremes are needed just consistency.

People have been telling me that I'll be in a starvation mode with my diet plan and now after losing 41lb and still losing at an excellent pace I say that not everybody is the same and our bodies react differently. I roll my eyes when i read the advices people give here to just eat more if you want to lose more. Sure you can eat more but than you have to exercise more also.

I was dieting the same as you were, and the pounds we not coming off. I was really upset to see a friend doing what I was doing and still loosing weight. So I drank a TON of water (64+ ounces a day). I was also eating all day. I would constantly be munching on veggies, nuts, crackers, ect. I would have 2 to 3 slightly larger (caloric wise) meals for regular meal times that were mostly veggies. I based this on knowing what body type I am (endomorph). It worked for me really well until I stopped! Haha.

I do not think that not loosing weight is the issue when you eat consistently ultra low calories, it is your general health.
Starvation mode is an abused term, what is true is that when you eat too little you tend to have less energy and therefore be less active, the metabolic changes do not account for that big difference because the body will still need some basic energy for all vital functions so it will start eating from lean body mass rather than fat alone putting in jeopardy the overall health

Ehh, before I was on this diet I never exercised so I had only muscles that you need to move LOL. Now I have them all over my body, most of them are still hidden under my fat but I definetly can feel them and it's a great feeling. I have lot's of energy and I work out every single day for 1h 30mins / 2h 10mins, depends. Anyways alot of people here stoped losing weight because there bodies addapted to the same amount of calories everyday and the same exercise regime. That's why I advise everyone who is stuck to change their calorie intake and exercise more. Don't start eating more Terri86 since your metabolism slowed down you will only gain weight like that. I've been trough it all and had to change my diet so many times in this 3 and a half months so that i can lose 2 pounds each week. It's not easy definitely.

At least to start, change the quality of food you eat including good fats, good protein. So even if you don't want to change your calorie intake, at least make the foods you eat count. I peaked at your food diary and I'd ditch the sugary foods and white bread. Feed your body with good, nutrient-rich foods and excercise, you'll start to see a difference. From there, you can adjust and you'll know if it's working if your body responds.
