My ups and downs...

Running has become a passion for me having completed several dozens of 5ks, 10ks, 4 sprint triathlons, 7 half-marathons, and one marathon it was what i credit the majority of my weight loss to.

The other part of it was cutting back on what I was eating. The last 45 pounds were all training for a marathon and using FatSecrets calorie counter app on my iPad. Using this helped me lose over 45 pounds in 90 days! A lot of people would say this is too much too fast, but when you eat 2000 calories a day and then you burn 3000 calories running 16 miles, the pounds tend to melt away!

What a great story! I'm a long-distance runner, too (I just finished my fifth marathon this month!), and while the long miles come with their own challenges, they are great for burning calories, holding fast to a goal, and marking progress. Enjoy your new hobby, your new health, and your new life!

Awesome transition pics! I started running last year and have a few 5Ks and 2 half marathons so far. It's a great exercise.
