I measured my hips, tummy, thighs and upper arms today to hopefully be able to see the cm's decreasing (note the positive thinking!)
Do you all record this and note the changes sometimes more than weight?

Yes! I take my measurements monthly and have been very pleased with the results. My thinking is as I lose fat and gain muscle I will become leaner and that difference might not always show on the scale, but will show with inches decreasing.

Hi, Ie I record my Neck, Bicep, Forearm, Chest, Waist, Hips, Thigh & Calf. I record it via LibreOffice Calc. I have a pretty little graph that shows how much I'm shrinking.

Yes, I find measuring very helpful as a tracker over time, but I only measure every 1-3 months. I personally feel that measuring more often than that will take away the "wow factor" for me.

I think this is a great idea. I took my measurements as a size 8 but now that I am a size 14, I think once a month can help me in this journey even if the outlook is bleak.

Down from 60" waist jeans since June 21st 2012!

2013 Targets: 16st/224lb (Main Target - Reached 10/06/2013!) 15st/210lb (Buffer to give myself some leeway as I readjust my calories)

Your best bet is to make your own if you can. I haven't been able to find a store bought one without a bunch of sugar and additives, but maybe someone else has.
