I'm trying to find protein powders that taste good and also are not too sweet and don't upset the stomach. I've tried isopure and that seems to be good, but it's very expensive. I've heard others recommend Click, Chike, and Unjury, but I've not tried these yet. GNC Lean muscle meal is good, but a little too sweet. I don't like Muscle milk or Myoplex. Any suggestions??

ChocoRite Protein Shakes!! The very best I've ever had. Lots of flavours. I mix mine with almond milk.

I get the Designer Whey protein powder...fairly low in carbs, and I can get it at a decent price at Trader Joe's. So far I have tried the chocolate and the French Vanilla. Both were good. My daughter tried the chocolate and liked it...she is a VERY picky eater.
A bad moment does not have to be a bad day, bad week, or a sign that you can't do this. It is a moment. Just that. Pause and go back to the person who really wants to be healthier and happier.

I just got the Jillian Michaels protein powder to put in my smoothies. It changed the texture of the smoothie (made it thicker and creamier), and diluted the taste of the fruit a little, but it was pretty good. This is the first one I tried and I picked it because it had the least amount of calories. When you're sticking to 1200 a day protein powder with 200 calories is a lot.

I use Rice Protein, with Chocolate Almond Milk unsweetened, and add 2-3 Stevia to each serving. Very good I think. Bought it at Ray's Market. Not sure where you live.

I have to use Whey protein. I just tried Chike and it's OK, but I'm not crazy about it so will probably not buy any more.

I just ordered Primal Fuel from Mark Sisson's web site. Looks like the ingredients are closest to "natural", with no soy or gluten. I'll let you know how I like it!

I'm a supporter of designer whey too. More protein than the overly sweet but a bit more carbs than the hardcore. I think it's middle of the road. I don't like over sweet and I find it perfect. I love the double choc and strawberry. Vitamin Shoppe has it on sale alot and esp online. 2 lb containers I get are 26.00 and anything over 25.00 is free standard shipping!
I tried the ON Gold Standard on a lot of recomendations trying to up the protein without a ton more cals but I thought it was pretty nasty and fake tasting.

I dig body fortress' whey protein isolate. Packs 30g of protein per scoop with barely a scratch of carbs or cholesterol. 22 bucks for 27 servings from walmart's website.

I use Jay Robb Chocolate whey protein. Only 1g of carbs for 25g of protein. They also make an egg white protein powder but I prefer the whey. Available through the Jay Robb website or Amazon.

If you have Hy-Vee they've got great powders. I can't remember off hand what they're called but they come in a black bag and you can get either 1 or 2 lbs. The strawberry and vanilla caramel swirl are both great and not gritty like some other powders, and they mix great in smoothies. I'm not huge on the chocolate, but I haven't found a chocolate powder I like yet. They also have a cinnamon roll flavor that I'm going to have to try out this fall and winter when the cinnamon flavor is more in season.

I tried Chike orange cream. I mixed it with water. It tastes like an orangecycle, but there is a tiny bit of an aftertaste.

Unjury chocolate splendor was pretty good. I mixed with with a little skim milk and ice in the blender. It felt like a real shake. No after taste and not as sweet as some of the protein powders. I would recommend this one.

I stay away from all the protein powders and eat chicken fish and very lean pork and vegigies and fruit. I have lost 20 or so lbs in the past with much success. I need to lose that again so that is what I am going to try. If I had not stopped that type of a diet I would not have to do this again.

I tried some more protein powders.

1. Chike--I initially did not like this one mixed with water, but it's very good if mixed with skim milk and crushed ice.

2. Nectar (fuzzy naval)--this reminds me of fruit juice or a koolaide. No after taste and thin in consistency

3. Click--Mocha espresso flavor is good. Great substitute for an ice coffee.

4. Pure Protein--YUK! Can anything taste more gross?! I mixed the creamy vanilla with skim milk and strawberries and I could still taste an aftertaste.

and for the love of all that's holy, stay away from inulin! That's the number one stomach ache cause in diet food. If the protein powder says it has fiber it probably has inulin in it.

Pure Protein is NASTY I agree! If you are looking for a juice type also check out Designer Whey Protein 2Go. 10 grams for 50 cals and I like the berry and lemonade. They have a Biggest Loser version but less protein so if you check it out notice the difference. I take it to the gym with me or drink it in the afternoon if lunch was low in protein. I tried making a frozen lemonade but it got all frothy and not in a good way lol so I just mix with water and go. Oh and I mix a bit of mio into the lemonade to change it up sometimes Smile

I tried designer whey vanilla almond flavor and mixed mango in it and it was very good. Thanks for the recommendation of designer whey.

Eat your protein. If the powders hurt your stomach and don't taste good to you why waste your money or calories on them

I tried a couple other protein powders.

1. Click--Vanilla Latte--I like this one better than the mocha
2. Gold standard--mocha cappachino--this is good, but less of a coffee taste than the Click brand. Depends how much you like the taste of coffee.
3. Carb essentials berry smoothie--This one is disgusting. I'm glad I only got a sample size.

I agree. I went through a phase some years back where I bought a lot of protein powders and drank a lot of shakes. It just seemed to make me hungrier, and I certainly didn't lose weight. Now I plan to eat enough protein through real food.
