Anything sweet, but especially Victoria sponge cake, ice cream, chocolate etc- the only way I can manage at the moment is to cut it all out, and then see if I can cope with small amounts later on. I also struggle with peanut butter- one spoonful just leads to another...

My danger food is anything sweet or white flour. Like you, I have to cut it out completely. I've tried this in the past and as long as I was off it, I could control it. The first time I tried a tiny bit of a favorite food that was sweet, I couldn't control anything sweet. I've been to overeater's anonymous meetings in the past and they treat sugar addiction the same way they treat alcohol addiction. Stay away from it if you want to succeed. I've learned my lesson from before and hope I never weaken enough in the future to eat it ever again. Julie

Definitely sweets for me. Chocolates, candies, ice cream. I used to have dangers around junkfood and sodas too, but that's fortunately gone.

Sweets especially chocolate. I LOVE chocolate. However, the real weight gain for me occurs when I eat bread, pasta, potatoes or rice. The starchy carbs are what make me zoom up in weight. If i stick to protein, veggies, and fruit I will see my weight come down. Also, no liquid calories...I used to drink soda and fruit juices..now its straight water.

Any non-sweet carb item....chips, bread, potatoes, etc. Sadly, all of these turn into sugar in your system, so you can't kid yourself by saying that you're not a sweet eater. LOL Oh well, it's Monday, and what a better day to get back into veggies and lean protein?

Sweets and peanut butter. I could sit and eat chocolate chips, candy bars, or be in the peanut butter jar all day. I've had to learn to either have a substitution for those or just moderation. Moderation is hard, but I've found that if I get the mini candy bars for work to share I'll only eat one now instead of the bag, but if I take them home I'll be in them all day. I will not be buying halloween candy until about the day before and what we don't eat is going to work.

I love breads and pastas. I prefer them over veggies or meats.

Oh my goodness - cereals just about kill me. I cannot have a box in the house or I will eat it all in a few hours.
Worst = cinnamon toast crunch. That stuff is crazy addictive for me... doesn't even taste that good but does something to my taste buds!!

Sweets and nuts are a no go for me. But, I also can't eat grains without a dramatic increase in joint pain. Over time, I have come to love the veggies and protein, so I can't say I feel deprived. And I do feel much, much healthier. I'll take that trade-off!
A bad moment does not have to be a bad day, bad week, or a sign that you can't do this. It is a moment. Just that. Pause and go back to the person who really wants to be healthier and happier.

I think I have finally gotten my ice cream cravings under control. I either don't have them or I work them into my RDI. BUT my danger foods are chips and dips. All kinds. All the time. I have no off button! Tortilla chips and queso or pita chips and hot spinach/artichoke dip and I am a GONER.

I think for me its chips of any type. I'm not really a sweets person but there have been many days in my past that I went through an entire bag of Doritos, funyuns, or cheetos within one day. Now, I try to just eat crackers. I know it has no nutritional value but its alot better than chips.
