Gatorade is load woth sugar
Try Ocean SPray Diet Cranberry (2 sugars) Mix Half a glass of cran with half a glass of water
Drink Green or black Tea
Trader Joe's has unsweetened Kettle Brewed Black Tea and they have a green tea too without sugar
Lemon Water...try water with added berroes for flavor
Sodium, sugar and carbs stall weight loss and also give you cravings.
The body changes sugar into 2 to 5 times more fat in the bloodstream than it does starch.
Sugar can cause drowsiness & sugar can increase the amount of liver fat. Sugar can contribute to diabetes. Sugar can cause depression. Sugar substitutes are no better.
Dr Mark Hyman Says "Stop confusing your body. If you have a desire for something sweet, have a little sugar, but stay away from “fake” foods. Researchers found that the total food eaten over 14 days dramatically increased in the artificial sweetener group — meaning that the artificial sweetener stimulated their appetite and made them eat more!"
He also says "Eliminate sugar and artificial sweeteners and your cravings will go away: Go cold turkey. If you are addicted to narcotics or alcohol you can’t simply just cut down. You have to stop for you brain to reset. Eliminate refined sugars, sodas, fruit juices, and artificial sweeteners from your diet. No Dried fruit either! These are all drugs that will fuel cravings."

We've given up sodas - both diet and regular - in favor of a peach/apricot flavored rooibos (similar to a tea) iced tea. We get it via mail from Tea Embassy. It has a hint of sweetness, more the aroma than the flavor, and zero calories. We also love Trader Joe's iced green & white tea with a hint of mint, and flavored waters (cucumber/basil and pineapple/mint are some favorite combinations - just put fruit in the jug of water, shake or muddle, and enjoy). Pinterest has some great ideas for this as well.

How about water, plain and simple? Won't raise your blood sugar one bit!

I second NCNOLE... water. Seltzer or sparkling water if you need a bit of a bubble, and squeeze a wedge of lemon or lime in there if you're looking for some flavor. Plus, drinking water with a hint of citrus in it can help control blood sugar spikes in some diabetics.
I also love drinking unsweetened teas. Challenge yourself to replace 50%, 75%, 90% and then all of your beverages with water. You'll lose your taste for needing something else sooner than you think!
