Have your thyroid checked.
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

How long have you been doing it? I second HCB, have your thyroid checked. If everything checks out ok, it could be that your body is to used to the types of foods you eat, then I would recomend changing things up a bit. Cutting carbs worked great for me.

I'm guessing sinc you are on ww you are tracking your food elsewhere. Take a look at what you are eating and make sure that you have more veggies and fruits than sweets. Make sure you have protein in your diet too. If you are not tracking yet you can start on the diet calander here and make sure to put down EVERYTHING you eat. Then you can see what percentages of what food you are eating. That helped me. Good luck.

Ok look....are you doing PointsPlus? Because really that should have been nicknamed PoundsPlus. The only weight watchers program that has worked for me is the flex/momentum plan. I'm still following that plan on my own since WW doesn't offically support it anymore. The idea behind PointsPlus is cool but for some reason it doesn't work for people with less to lose or short or with a certain age. Go back to the old WW plan if you can. Also have your thyroid checked as suggested.

Thanks all. Well it finally showed up on the scale. I appreciate you'll taking the time to post. I have had my thyroid checked and the Dr's always say that it is in the normal range. Oh well, thanks again.

I'm glad it worked for you. If you run into that problem again may I give you the friendly suggestion of checking how many calories you are consuming with PointsPlus. Best wishes on your journey! Smile

Glad you finally saw it on the scale...Smile
Just curious...have you measured yourself and if so have you lost any inches? Sometimes the scale can stay the same but you will be losing inches so make sure to go by how you feel, how your clothes are fitting, if your energy has improved, if you are sleeping better, etc and try not to get too hung up on the scale. Good luck and I have no doubt you WILL succeed! Smile

I lost 125lbs on WW 6 years ago, the first year I took off 100 lb the second year I dropped 25lbs during my first few months at a new job that took me away from a desk and put me on my feet. After that I stopped losing completely. I never did reach the goal weight they required and I couldn't get a doctor to give me a note. Anyway, over the next 5 years I fought to keep it off. I am proud that I didn't put it all back on..like past exp. I did gain about 65lbs back slowly. I tried to keep to the 22 points a day, but that only maintained. I rejoined WW online a year ago when they changed their program and lost 24lbs in 5 months then stopped losing again. I did have my Thyroid checked and they say it's fine. It is frustrating. I just started Atkins because I'm thinking the carbs are really hurting me. I'm reading the book and there is science there. Anyway, I'm sorry you're frustrated I know how discouraging it is. Maybe you just need to try something new. I know I quit going to the WW meetings because I was feeling like a failure after losing 125lbs that's just wrong. Good luck and hang in there!!!

Cardio is NOT all it's cracked up to be. Losing weight is 80% what your putting in your mouth.
A recent tv program showed that eating a small blueberry muffin and a fruit smoothie will make you go for a walk for 4 1/2 hours to burn it off, or a 45 min jog is the price you'll pay for eating 1/2 a snickers bar.
Invest in a couple dumbbells you can use at home and build some new muscle tissue. You'll burn alot more calories over time as well as improving your body shape without paying for any expensive equipment or gym membership. I lost over 100lbs a year ago and have kept it off.

There is no need to pay anyone to lose weight. Lose the sugar, white potato, white rice, white bread, white pasta and get plenty of lean protein and veggies you'll do great.

I also saw the show about diet and exercise. And I totally agree with the above statement. We dont have to pay anyone for us to lose the weight, I believe that cutting out carbs in these forms will work for weight loss. It has for me, I lost over 60lbs in 5 months so I know how well it works!Best wishes to you!
If you have the right mindset then nothing can stop you from reaching your goals! Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

I absolutely agree with PeeFat and this statement. This is exactly what I did since last November, together with elliptical training, situp and pushup training. I am in a better shape now at age 40 than I was in my twenties, without paying for some kind of diet. Just discipline. And this makes me feel great and proud.

What I am missing for the moment is dumbbell training; but soon I will buy some for home to build up muscles.

Wanna see my efforts so far with loosing weight ? Have a look at my profile, you should find before/after pictures there.

I wish you good luck Smile

I need help finding my motivation again :(
You only fail when you stop trying. So take that first step NOW (not tomorrow, next week, or next month) and keep on going! Start with a first step that seems easy and take it from there.

This is a good starting point, but you really need an exercise plan to maximize the results. Even if it is just walking. Get moving!
