Hello all...question...I consume alot of sodium mainly because my meals consist of frozen dinners. And it feels like I eat too much sodium. Any suggestions on a meal plan I can have that will be filling wihtout as much sodium. I even looked online and on here it says regular 3 oz boneless skinless chicken breast is still like 300mg. I can't escape it....any suggestions?

I cut up veggies on Sunday and store in the fridge. This way every morning, I can quickly make a salad for my lunch. If you cook some chicken breast over the weekend, you can add them to your salad for a boast of protein.

Bolthouse makes a yogurt-based ranch that is really good and very low calorie and low fat.

Try to go as natural as possible - fresh fruits and veggies, cook your own chicken (bake it the oven, poach it in water, pan-fry with olive oil) and the same with fish. Even though you may see sodium in proteins, it's natural, not injected as a preservative. There are some frozen meals that have lower amounts of sodium. It's just a matter of reading the labels. I try to only buy ones that have under 500mg-600mg. I drink a ton of water so I don't feel so bad if I go a little over. FS is great for tracking your sodium intake. Look at the foods that are really high in sodium and see what kind of alternatives you find.

I don't know if it the way to go, but it works for me. I'm able to add the veggies that I want to it, making it more pleasant to eat then a pre-made salad. I use a tablespoon of sweet vingear and olive oil. I have found that I don't need as much dressing when I have lots of veggies and 2 oz of feta on them.

Have you ever thought of just picking one day out of the week and make foods that you can heat up really quick during the week?

Looking over your food journal vs mine, your sodium intake is lower than mine Laughing. I guess I don't notice it becasue I drink so much water throughout the day. It saves me from retaining fluid.

Learn how to make frittatas and omelets. You can toss them together in no time flat, and they're incredibly easy to make. I typically make mine with half eggs and half egg whites.
