Water Retention

I struggle a lot with this problem, I do drink my 3 liters of water a day but have to take duretic otherwise in 3days time I will weigh 3kg heavier, is there any suggestions on how to handle this as I get very de motivated if for some reason I cannot take my retention medication.............please help!!!

I do not use salt at all, only use Ina Paarman spices!!!!

How is your potassium intake? Smile No, seriously, if your potassium is low, you will still retain. Also any food allergy can cause water retention. I have this problem too, and am by now convinced that I do not tolerate gluten. I am doing much better on gluten free diet, no diuretics any more. Still have some fluctuations every now and then, but nothing compared to what it used to be.
