Hi, Im Leanne.

I've been on here about a month though, but for some reason just can't stick to it. I think I need a little extra motivation, and some weight loss buddies with similar goals as mine.

I'm trying to lose 30lbs by the end of August, and this has been my goal now for about 2 months, and I just can't budge Sad

Any suggestions?

What diet are you trying to do? You may need to use a different diet (not saying one if better than the other!)

I was not motivated until I had a medical scare. Pretty effective way of losing weight. But now that the danger has passed now its just habit. i can't look at certain foods without cringing.

Motivation is always a tough one for me, but I look forward to coming on here to see if I have any messages... which I usually don't, but it gives me a little motivation to get on and track my food. Tracking is what keeps me in line!

I'm mostly just trying to eat healthy and exercise regularly, but seems like I never get "around" to it, and being a student, I go for the most convenient things to eat - which are usually not the most healthy. I might try Slimfast as a meal replacement, though.

@Sailboat I'm a college student too! I think being a student puts an extra layer of difficulty due to the obvious studying, which burns 0 calories! Its really rough but what helps me is calorie counting. its rough but it works without exercise, which is something I dont get a lot of nowadays. There's no magic pill or powder that will work, just hard work and determination. You have to find that part of you deep in your soul that is ready for the changes you have to make.
also some of your time will be hogged up by cooking. It sucks, but its a nice break away from the textbooks.

Personally the 'diet' I use is the Eat this! Not that! diet. Very very simple, and lets me totally eat out at restaurants and fast food places. What works for me might work for you!
