Hi, My calculated RDI is 2100. When I go to the Exercise Log, it has resting and sleeping for a total of 2350! Why the discrepancy? Shouldn't they match?

Thanks,
Paul

It would be a lot easier to help if we could see your Diet Calendar/weight/height/age/etc. Right now, your settings are not public.

Someone who is busier than you is working out right now.
There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is not that day.

the RDI is the suggested intake to achieve your goal so if you have put weight loss it will be set to be lower than your expected consumption

they are 2 different settings. Your total for the exercise is what you have (estimated) burned based upon the exercises you have done for the day. enter your exercises ( daily routine including driving to work or elsewhere, desk work house work, etc.) . You can set daily defaults on this as well so you don't have to pick them on "average" days.

They should match....If you weren't trying to lose weight. The whole idea is that you eat fewer calories than you put out, and thereby lose weight.

Your RDI for FatSecret (which is slightly different from the general use of the term) tells you how much you should consume each day given your current weight, your settings for activity level, and your desired rate of weight loss.
