Any extra activity will help you burn a little extra calories through the day. It may not make the pounds fall off, but if thats all you can do, its better than nothing. And Think about your health and not just losing weight. Being more active is good for your body. So keep taking those small steps and maybe eventually they will lead to bigger ones, and a healthy active lifestyle.
