Just started the rice diet on Monday. i am down about 7 pounds. Its really a low sodium diet and as I am finding out salt is in everything..

Since I've switched to cooking most of my own food, my sodium intake has dropped dramatically. In fact, about a year ago I had a conversation with my doctor about whether there was a minimum amount of sodium that I needed each day.
"Yeah, but you'll never get that low."
"Umm, I'm eating about 500-700mg of sodium per day right now."
"Wow, really? That's surprising, but it's not too low."
If you've suddenly cut your sodium intake you're probably shedding water at a prodigious rate.
