In my experience there wasn't much benefit in doing both. when I was doing WW online I pretty much just used that. Their site seems much easier to calculate points and since it's their ww site, it's all centered around their philosophies. Starting this past January, (to save money) I canceled my ww online membership and switched to just using FatSecret. Here, I found it's easier to count calories and just make healthier food choices. (That's pretty much what ww is too.) I've continued to lose weight and really enjoy this site. Good luck!

I'm not really doing the WW online as I'm tracking my food here, but I do have the membership and go to meetings. I like the weekly accountability of going to weigh-ins and I really like going to the meetings. I don't see much of a benefit of paying just for the online portion if you've got this great free tool here.
I think that counting calories is easier than counting points. All that free food and the low-fat/high-fiber philosophy just drives me a little crazy. Especially from someone with celiac disease who can't eat all that pre-packaged food (which is what the program is tailored for).

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
