Is there a daily limit on nuts and nut butters?

I'm just wondering what the rules are for nuts and nut butters once you are past the 2 week mark in Atkins.

Can you have as much as you want as long as you stay within your carb limits (and don't get crazy with calories)? Or is there a certain amount you should not go over (like cheese has a 3 oz limit)?

Thanks!

The set of rules that I follow (which are the rules from the 2002 Atkins book) limits nuts significantly - so you are allowed only one ounce of nuts a day and of some nuts 1/2 ounce.
I think the reason is that although they are a good source of protein and fat they are often addictive to many people and they have carbs and are dense. If we overdo them we may not lose weight.
It is easier to overeat nuts than it is to overeat eggs.

Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
