How do you post to your diet calendar

I am new to and I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to "enter food". Can anyone help me please

Hover over "MY FATSECRET" at the top of the page. One of the top links will be "Enter Food"-- click on it.

Go to the meal of your choice on click on "Add Item". You should get a search box-- search for whatever you ate. Let's use "Big Mac" as an example, since I generally strive to be a bad example. Type in "Big Mac" and hit search. In a couple of seconds you'll get a list of search resuls. Under Big Mac (McDonalds), click "add item".

Enter the quantity (in this case three, since I'm being a bad example), then click submit.


Repeat the process with everything you want to add.

It's cumbersome at first, but gets easier quickly.

If you are having problems finding your foods, type them in as the label reads, I was having this problem with my ranch dressing but one I entered it in as the label had it as Hoser says VIOLA!

I am new too - and I am having a similar problem with entering what I ate... sure a Big Mac is easy if that's what you eat. but let me give you a more concrete example. Before I went to the gym this morning a made a smoothie 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries - a banana - 2 tbs peanut butter - 2 tbs whey - 1/2 cup skim milk and 1/2 cup of greek yogurt - 6 ice cubes please tell me HOW WOULD I ENTER THIS ? - then when I got home I scramble 2 eggs with a handful of chopped fresh spinach and had a half bagel with a little butter again HOW WOULD I ENTER THIS ? I see a lot of potential in using this site and the mobile app but if I can't be precise then....

I would either put in each individual item - or if it is something you make often, then I would enter it in "my cookbook" as "Tom's Smoothie" - then you add each item, tell it the servings, and you save it.

Or, you could just enter each item. Go to your diet calendar - click add item and search for strawberries - then select 1/2 cup, next up banana.

to enter foods you need to know the nutritional info unless it's something they already havein their list.just go to your food calerdar look down to the enter then add the food

i just use the phone app of fatsecret and scan in barcodes as l eat food, or maybe jot down on paper what you have eaten during the day and add it in later when you get a quiet time.

There is a snack area but other than the 3 meals and snacks no you cannot add

Macro #'s
Hi Everyone, I have a question are we able to change the Macro #'s or is it just the Calories daily intake that can be changed. Thank you for all your help.
