It is interesting to me that working out is a bigger part of my life now. So much so that I got gifts revolved around my workouts and I love it.

I'm curious, what did you get and how do you feel about it?

I got two, yes TWO soccer balls and a pair of soccer socks that have Sounders FC colors and I'm stoked. Within the last year I have consistently played twice a week and it's totally changed my body and I think my family can see how much I enjoy the game Smile

Good Post - I got a gift card to the Running Room and it was the best gift I got! New running shoes just around the corner. Also got sweet running gloves/hat. Usually spend most of the winter on the TM, but looks like I will have to venture outside some and test the new equipment out. It has been a really mild winter with no snow thus far in MN...hope it continues!!

I got a Polar heart rate monitor, Nike+ sensor for my shoes to track running mileage, and a Jillian yoga DVD! I had all of these things on my Christmas list, so I was super excited to get them!

Someone who is busier than you is working out right now.
There will come a day when you can no longer do this. Today is not that day.

I'm getting new running shoes which I need to go pick out soon and hubby said he would have gotten me a lot more fitness-related things but he wasn't sure if it'd be offensive. I'm super excited about my shoes and I wouldn't have seen it as offensive-- just supportive!

These all sound like fun gifts. You guys are making me think...I may have to find a way to try some of your gifts out for myself. lol.
I think it is great that we are not offended by these gifts but instead love them. It shows how far we have come and that we plan to keep this part of our life.

I got a mini trampoline, too. Fun!
DISCLAIMER: I expect to lose this weight over the next 6 months to 5 years. I'm not going to feel like a failure if it takes an entire month to lose 1 pound. I'm going to feel like a success when that happens! I may offer advice that I'm currently not taking myself. Feel free to call me on that!

Maybe "pre-Christmas" gifts in November...DH and I got ourselves pedometers that connect to the PC and give tons of info besides how many steps and a couple of weeks later, a "BodyBugg" for each of us, resistance bands and a Tai Chi DVD.

I got money, which I spent on healthy foods and Zumba 2 for Wii!! Other than that, it seemed like my loved ones were getting Under Armour (tons for some reason!) and I didn't get any. However, I told everyone no clothes, not even yoga pants, until I at LEAST reach my first goal

I didn't get exercise gear for christmas, but I did get $$$ which I'm spending on gear. Got a new sports bra and a pair of yoga shorts. Probably going to buy a new swimsuit this weekend and maybe one more sports bra.
