Anyone know a rock solid way of getting rid of saddle bags or at least toning thighs and butt?

Spot toning is impossible, but losing weight overall should help shrink any problem areas, and the rest of you, over time.
For the thighs and butt - you need the undisputed king of exercises - the SQUAT!

I am in the process of toning my buns and thighs. That's where I carry most of my weight. I have been very successful the past 4 months and I think a big key to my success is the variety in my workout. I run, take spinning, take cross training, do my own circuits, yoga, workout videos at home, swimming laps. I never do the same thing over and over and over. The variety keeps me active and I'm pretty sure that it helps with my problem areas. I try and keep my heart rate up (65-85%) throughout all of my workouts... except yoga. Lunges and squats will defiantly do it, dead lifts, plank, step ups, stair master... there are so many different leg exercises. Find some that you can make yourself do, preferably enjoy and get busy

treadmill 40min to 1 hr and a low fat diet and of course time. we didn't put the weight on in a day and it wont come off in a day. we need to set realistic goals and that includes enough time to realistically make changes.

If you have a knack for it, ice skating is great for toning your thighs and behind. I've actually put on a pair jeans after ice skating, and the thigh area was hanging all baggy because my thighs were so toned.

For a killer workout that really tone you try Jillian michaels "trouble zones" or any Jillian dvd to be honest. As others have said you cant choose where you want to loose fat, but you can tone that area, however I would go with an workout routine that uses all of your body as that will help fat loss and also make you feel great about all of you, not only the one part where you are toning

If you are able to get on the floor, lay on your side, hand to hold head up, bend the leg on the floor, take your unbent leg and point it level with the bent knee, lit it to the celling as many time as possable, short and gentle lifts. When done you will feel the pain in your butt and pat with your hand to stimulate. Roll over and do the other leg. Also can get on all fours and lift one leg at a time to the celing, kind of like a dog when he has to pee....

Walking up hill (or using the treadmill at a steep incline). I have lost so much of my butt and thighs this way.....really amazing!

Yeah.. Check into Exilis! Those saddlebags ar almost impossible to lose. to lose them, exerise helps,ie: walking lunges. However, you willnot lose them without losing so much body fat elsewhere that you will look like a stick with saddlebags. this is where you genetically are prone to store your fat! There is a new procedure on the mrket that will help remove fat and tighten the skin in this area and it it NON-INVASIVE. It is called Exilis. Check it out online. If I do it I will go to Dr. Sarah Boyce Sawyer in Birmingham Alabama. If you call her, use my name as a reference: Faye Graham.

The nice thing about doing something you love, such as ice skating is that you will do it more frequently, and your workout doesn't feel like work.

Anyone using the Fitbit Flex or similar devices?
I have a bodymedia fit and love it. It really helps keep you motivated and focused. It does allow you to sync with a heart rate monitor, but I find it has been a good tool regardless.

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
