Do you weigh yourself at the end of the week or at the beginning of a new week?

Since I only weigh myself at the end of a 90 day period (which comes to an end tomorrow) I am wrestling with weighing myself at the end of "Phase III" (July, August, September) or at the beginning of "Phase IV" (October, November, December). Am I recording what I weighed at the end of the previous period or what I weigh at the start of the new?

Since most people weigh themselves weekly, I thought I would ask my fellow weight watchers (pun intended) what method they used.

Start or end of week?

First off you shouldn't worry so much about 'weight'. Weight takes into account a lot of things....fat, muscle, bone, water, water, more water and finally water. You should focus on the mirror test. Cut fat until you look good in the mirror, or build muscle...depending on your goal.

If you're that concerned about weight and want to have the most accurate (or least inaccurate)reading you can... my advice would be Thursday. If you are like most people you might enjoy a meal out or a few drinks on the weekend...so you may carry extra water weight at the beginning of the week(I know i do).

If you eat the same every day and dont' drink or carb binge then it really doesnt' matter.

Personally, I weigh myself daily and log my weight weekly. I find that it keeps me motivated and reminds me that I am trying to eat healthy. In the past, it was frustrating to weigh myself weekly because of the fluctuations, but now I just accept the fluctuations. If I don't weigh myself frequently, then I tend to say "I can eat this junk food because it won't show up on the scale".

I'm not sure that it matters what weight you go by - the beginning or the end, just as long as you are consistent. I guess if you want to see what progress you are making, then you could weigh yourself at the beginning and end of each 90 day cycle.

Yes I get this. The main reasons tend to be sodium intake, lack of water, and hormones. I see from your food log that most days you are over 3000 and somethimes up to 5000mg in sodium. "They" ...
