Today I am starting my diet seriously, and I have a motivation:

What's yours?

I am puttingthis as my goal prize! Trouble is, I don't know when I am truly done. According to my goal initially set, I am already there - I just don't fully agree. Maybe I should just go ahead and order? lol...

I went from morbidly obese to being the owner of TABDIG - a weight loss coaching service that helps people worldwide losing weight. It's been an amazing journey. From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, living healthy and helping people to reach the very same goals. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier! If you feel that you need help losing weight, don't hesitate to send me an inbox message.

my motivations are two fold.

Mexico in November for a wedding...the bride and most attendees are beautiful and thin...I will NOT be the fat one! LOL (this is my superficial motivation)

My 10 year old daughter is destined to struggle with her weight (she is a healthy weight right now, but teetering on the edge), she is a picky eater and doesn't like to do much but sit inside on the computer or read (much like me), so I am trying to model healthy behaviors and teach her how to maintain a healthy lifestyle so she doesn't struggle as much as I have.

I bought myself a beautiful new kayak when I reached my most challenging goal of exercising an hour a day at least 3 days a week for at least a month.

That was 4 months ago and I'm still keeping up with the same exercise schedule. So I guess it workedVery Happy

When I reach my goal weight I'm finally going to get a tattoo I've been wanting for years.

My plan is a mountain range on my back from shoulder to shoulder, representative of a lot of things: peaks and valleys in life, the goals I've achieved and how far I've come in the past few years and how good the view from the top looks Smile

Well, I took Mama Cracker's advice and ordered my Fender bass. And whaddaya know - I will lose some more before I get it. It's not gonna be delivered until NOVEMBER THE EARLIEST! Phew, I'm glad I've put in order already. I should DEFINITELY deserve it by then - if nothing else then just for dealing with the patience of waiting! Smile

Yeah I am so happy to hear that you realize that you do deserve it!!!! And I am sure your music will sound much sweeter on it too Smile

I am still trying to determine what I want as a goal and reward. I don't want to wait until I reach my ultimate goal, because I think the journey itself should be rewarded. Hoping for a nice reward at 170 (just over 20lbs to go!)

For me, losing weight is probably more of an excuse to go ahead and order up. Smile
I love playing music, and I am dying to get my hand on a "pro" instrument. What I have always had have been decent quality, and good sounding, but never an "over the top awesome" instrument. This one is. Dying - DYING - to play it.

My motivation is also fitting into a wedding dress and looking great in it. I also am going to get my belly button pierced. I know it kinda silly and I'm 37 so I'm a little old for it but I have always wanted to do it. I never show my stomach in public but my fiance will like it and I found the cutest something blue belly ring for our wedding.

I don't even know what my goal weight is, to be honest. I have an intermediate goal of "once I get here, I'll see how things look and plan the next move" but that's still 27 pounds away. When I cross the 200 mark, I'm going to buy myself a new iPod to keep the motivation going on the workouts.

I can't wait to not think about "eesh, sorry all you people behind me!" when I'm waiting in line at the waterpark with my kiddo. Very Happy (wait, does that make it more of a reward for my fellow man?! Laughing)

...because this year I actually sucked it up and went to the waterpark anyway, actually riding rides instead of sitting in my coverup as was tempting. I was proud of that, but will be prouder to just not think about it at all!

So when I first saw these posts it really made me think (because I really liked the idea of it).
I immediately thought that my motivation to lose weight was to run the half marathon I just registered for, but then I realized that I'm using the half marathon as motivation to exercise. So that really isn't my true motivation.
Then I figured out.. my motivation is to show up at my first homecoming as a college alumni at the end of October and have everyone say WOW. she looks so good Smile

But if I have to choose a physical object, it would be a beautiful Burberry coat I saw.... Hopefully I'll be able to afford it some day!

I loved hearing everyone else's motivations too!Razz

Going to the doctor and hearing her say: "You are very healthy!"

This would be a nice bonus...
