This is a repost of what I wrote in my journal today, and I don't want to seem like I'm showboating but I just NEED to share my excitement!! Very Happy And if anyone is confused by my ticker, my real starting weight was 165 pounds, almost 2 years ago. (changing diets made my ticker restart, and I don't know how to correct that)

I DID IT!!! After so many months of trial and tribulation, I am at my goal weight of 140 pounds! I am so proud of myself! I am currently looking for a good spa in my area, so that I can get the massage I promised to reward myself with when I hit my goal! I also plan on doing some clothes shopping this week, and swimsuit shopping with my hubby on the weekend! I can't believe how far I have come, and I feel like I've completely transformed physically and mentally. I take pride in my appearance, and have a confidence that I've never had before! I know that I don't have a 'perfect' body (as if that even exists!) but I love my shape, I love all the amazing things my body is capable of, and most of all I love the person inside this body! I have learned so much about myself throughout this journey, and I think I have been a source of motivation to those around me. My hubby has supported me in living a healthier lifestyle, and it's paid off for him too (he's lost 10 pounds, and 'should' lose about 5 more to be a 'healthy' weight). While I still feel I have some improvements to be made (I want to tone up a little more) and I know that my relationship with my weight will require constant attention and vigilance, I feel that I have accomplished something really meaningful, and what a huge self-esteem boost it is to say I COMMITTED MYSELF TO SOMETHING CHALLENGING, AND IT ALMOST SEEMED IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES, BUT I SUCCEEDED!!! GOOOOOO MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done! Best feeling in the world, isn't it? Very Happy

I went from morbidly obese to being the owner of TABDIG - a weight loss coaching service that helps people worldwide losing weight. It's been an amazing journey. From October 4th 2010 to April 3rd 2012 I lost half my body weight - 80 kilos/170 lbs. Since then, I have had two cosmetic surgeries to remove excess skin. I have now quadrupled my strength, gained several kilos in muscle mass, and today I focus on building muscle, optimizing my diet, living healthy and helping people to reach the very same goals. I am stronger, healthier, thinner, happier! If you feel that you need help losing weight, don't hesitate to send me an inbox message.

Thanks everyone, after a lifetime of feeling inadequate it's great to get recognition for my successes! I've found the perfect spa and have yet to make the appointment, but I'll make it tomorrow (as well as an appointment with my rockin' stylist for a haircut and color). To Jacq130, I can honestly say that what worked for me was what everyone says works...exercise(cycling/jogging, weight training and yoga works for me), keeping portions under control, eating more fruit and vegetables and less fast food/junk food, and being positive yet realistic with myself!

Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of maintenance Smile

Assuming that by now you've internalized the lifestyle changes about nutrition and activity, you should find maintaining a lot more pleasant than getting to this point.

Enjoy it though, you've earned it Smile

congratulations! That is a job well done! It is hard work and you should be tooting your own horn! What do they say, nothing tastes as good as thin feels! But more that that it is a self confidence builder, you faced something difficult and you persevered! Be proud Very Happy
