Hi! I am new to this site. I started back on Atkins Induction and could use some support. Lost some weight years ago, but never continued with the diet. I must lose weight for health reasons. I need to lose about 100 lbs. I am 62 years old.

I started Atkins years ago and lost. Now since I have gained a huge amt of weight and losing would improve my health and get me off some medications I have started again. I was off to a good start for a few days (began diet 40/30) but the last two days have been bad. I have not followed the diet. Glad to find this site to help me stay on track.Best of luck to all of you and maybe we can give each other the boost we need. If you are like me I MUST lose.

I did Atkins years ago too. I lost 60 pounds. I got married soon after and have since gained all the weight back. I am now back on Atkins and this time I am going to make low-carb a way of life! We can do this!!! God Bless, B-Rod

Hi All I have just started back on Atkins too and find it much better than the old one, I couldn't get on with that and stopped after a couple of weeks, putting all the weight and more back on fairly rapidly
I lost 6 lbs the first week but I think I got a bit complacent and started estimating my net carbs instead of weighing and a couple of lbs have crept back on so the scales are out with a vengeance today !
I have just entered for a 5k Race For Life for Cancer Research UK on June 12th so I have a good goal to aim towards, I hope to lose a few more lbs before then
Good Luck to everyone
Terri xx

Ketosis Achieved
Headaches and dizziness are signs that you need more salt. Try having a cup of broth or bouillon morning and night, that's usually enough. The doctors say adaptation to keto takes 2 to 6 weeks.
