PCOS and weight

Hi.I suffer from PCOS, and REALLY struggling with my weight. BUT....... having been in hospital for 5 days, I have managed to lose around 4lb, so thats a start.
Would be SO grateful for ANY advice or just someone to chat to who understands...xx

I, too, have PCOS, and found that it had a profound affect on my weight. The good news, and I'm only one example, is that I've (a) had two healthy babies {one with a lot of help from fertility drugs and procedures, which also didn't help my weight, and a second on all on my own) and (b) I've managed to take much of my extra weight off. You can do it. It's not a fun condition, but it is manageable. Feel free to message me if you have specific questions. I wish you luck!!

i have PCOS atkins has been amazing in helping me lose weight. it's slow and frustrating at times, but i feel great, my skin is clear, my body hair has greatly improved, im no longer depressed or anxious, and im slowly but surely getting slim!

I, too, have PCOS and Atkins Low Carb is the only plan that works for me. I tried Weight Watchers and lost weight - but found that all the carbs made me feel bad, no energy, forgetful and other side effects. After going on the low carb life style I have more energy and my concentration is much better!! My sugar and other blood work also improved. Good luck in your weight loss journey.

with you having your food journal set to private, nobody can have a look to possibly see where you may be going wrong..... also, if you aren't losing on the scales try using the tape measure, sounds ...

Do what you did for the 11 pound loss. I'm guessing that not only did you lose pounds, you also felt better, achieved a better sense of well-being. Embrace that. The pounds will take care of thems ...
