Jillians Michaels' whey protein?

Water or milk tend to be the best to mix protein with and depending on the flavor you could also make smoothies too. 8oz of fluid is the minimum u need to mix with it

Depends alot on the flavor of your protein to tell ya the truth. If i'm feeling frisky I will throw peanut butter and bananas in my extreme milk chocolate protein, tastes divine. I've done strawberries, didn't really care for it. I think the best one I ever made was made with the protein powder/whipped cream/bananas/peanut butter and skinny cow dulce de leche ice cream with 4oz skim milk and 4oz water of course.

I have the chocolate one. I mix it in the blender with some milk, possibly some banana, ice cubes (obviously), and when i'm feeling like i deserve it, a tiny bit of nutella for some really good flavor.

alternatively, i've blended it with milk or coconut milk, frozen banana, and a handful of walnuts. Tastes like banana bread.

and finally, I've also done it with blueberry yogurt, a little milk, and a handful of berries.

as you can see, you can pretty much throw anything in there Smile

I had the chocolate and liked to mix it with UNsweetened Silk almond milk, CarbMaster vanilla yogurt, cinnamon, ice cubes, and then I stir in a few chopped walnuts.

i know this is somewhat off topic, but I have a real problem eating breakfast in the morning and eating enough calories for the day. I have been told by various people to try protien shakes but when I look at the info on them some of them sound scary, too many calories fat etc. I want to lose weight not bulk up like a fighter. I am also training for a 5k in septemeber and have been doing alot of running. anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

If you've been doing a lot of running you really should drink a shake right after. It'll help limit the amount of muscle tissue you lose.

If you were going to bulk up like a fighter it would take a lot more than a protein shake to do it. I drink protein shakes every day & lift more weight than many of the men at my gym & I'm nowhere near bulky.

@Lesley- I'm pretty sure that if you are running a lot, one protein drink a day isn't going to cause you to 'bulk up like a fighter'. Furthermore, I don't believe women generally 'bulk up' at all.
The Jillian Michael's one is pretty good. The protein isn't super high and there are only 100 kcal per serving and not too many weird ingredients.

The only one I've really liked is the Jillian Michaels triple chocolate. I agree, the muscle milk can be nasty tasting and has some iffy ingredients. I'm sure if you visit your local vitamin store they can suggest one, or you can probably read reviews online.

I tried that Jillian Michaels stuff and I did not like it at all. It was too thick! I actually have recently purchased from my trainer Isagenix French Vanilla shake and I love it! It's 40 dollars for a huge container and instead of 2 scoops, I only use one and it is 120 calories. I normally mix in all natural penut butter, a teaspoon of vanilla, a splash of skim milk, water, and crushed ice. Blending in the blender helps the "gritty" powder taste for sure. The smoothie is amazing once it's complete and suprisingly filling. Isagenix has a webpage that you can order through as well and a whole training /nutrition program that seems to have good results for some. Good luck with the Jillian Michaels stuff! I hope you like it more then I did!

The trick with any of the smoothies is to use a blender. I usually make enough for two 8oz serving. For me and hubby. You can also get creative and use imitation extracts like mint, cherry, almond.
