Very Happy Does anyone know how to make a loaf of flaxbread??? I have the different MIM reciepts...I just wondered if you could make a loaf of bread instead of a single muffin.

Ok now I have another questio about serving size. It dosen't tell you about the size of 1 serving..it does say it makes 8 servings,but is that in muffin pans or a bread pan. Dont mean to be a pain I just wanted to know what the n.carbs are for 1 serving and how big a slice should be? Thanks...

Weigh the entire loaf then divide by 8 or make it in muffin 8 muffin tins.

Here's the recipe for MIM: (via sngglebnny ) - They come out PERFECT!

In a coffee cup mix 1/4 cup ground flaxseed (or flaxmeal), 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon Splenda (or one packet), 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Then add 1 tablespoon of butter (or margarine) and one egg.

Stir until thoroughly mixed then put your cup full of mix in the microwave for one minute.

Once done, you should be able to pat the sides of the cup and then turn it over so it comes right out.

Almond Based "Cornbread"
cals: 135kcal | fat: 12.01g | carbs: 2.55g | prot: 5.21g

Ingredients
4 eggs
2 oz butter (melted)
dash salt
7 oz ground almonds
1 tsp baking powder

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8-inch square tin pan with baking parchment.
2. Whisk together the butter and eggs, then gradually mix in 7 oz. ground almonds, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
3. Tip the mixture into the prepared tin, level the top and bake for 20 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool then cut into 8 pieces to serve.

It doesn't really taste like cornbread; it tastes like almond bread to me, but it's a good way to get fat calories if you need them. I make some every couple of weeks, bag them and take a piece when I go to work to eat with my lunch. Also, I use the coffee grinder to grind my almonds, but I don't grind them extra, extra fine; I like a couple of chunks in them. Let me know what you think!

14 is the year. This site RDI is high for most people. Mine has said 1700 calories, my weight loss RDI from other sites was around 1200 , which worked and now main at 1400.
