You can use cream in your coffee, it's allowed.

I'm using half and half. It's also allowed. Next week, I'm getting heavy whipping cream!

Coffeemate makes Hazelnut in Sugarfree. It's not carb-less but its very minimal.

I also use 2 tablespoons of 1/2 and 1/2 and 1 tsp of splenda. It runs me 2 to 3 carbs a day, but I only have 1 cup of coffee. Without the coffee I would be in headache city.

I use unsweetened coconut milk it has one carb per cup. They also have coconut milk creamer that is sweetened with vanilla but it has a few more carbs. I kicked my milk habit with coconut milk and saved about 30 carbs per day. Now I have about two carbs per day since I switched.

Good luck!

I use stevia. It is super sweet so i can drink the coffee black now. Its sold at Health food stores, it comes in a container or pre portioned packets. Its very good in tea too.

Those creamers are all chemicals and not allowed on Atkins. Using cream (or almond or coconut milks) are real foods. If you like flavoring, you could get flavored coffee or use some DaVinci/Torani SF syrup or the Splenda Hazelnut coffee sweetener. HTH Smile

The Vanilla Atkins shakes taste good in coffee I do this if I am having a 1 cup is not enough day so this way you can have a couple of cups and I don't even need the splenda when I do that because the shake also sweetens the coffee...This way I can use my carbs on more healthy stuff..1 shake is 1NC.
Good luck Hope I helped I also use cream and splenda if only having 1 cup.

CRAP! I've been using them every morning in my coffee!

Great idea with the stevia (which I have yet to try) and the shakes!!

I do have half n half.
When you guys say cream...do you mean heavy cream (like the one used to make whipped cream) or do you mean the half n half?

I use unsweetened almond milk, 1g nc per cup. I use about 1 oz per cup of coffee. And for sweetener I'll use a sugar-free Torani or DaVinci syrup, my faves are the caramel & vanilla flavor. The chocolate seems less sweet to me, so I use that to flavor other things like protein shakes.

I'm probably the minority here but I'll still put in my two cents... My coffee is sacred to me. I'll try different diets, workouts, maybe even hypnotism.. I'm willing to put forth a good effort. I draw the line though with my cup of coffee. It is my lone luxury item and to me it is Switzerland in the diet war. A non-participant. I'll use half and half, heavy cream, milk... even whipped cream out of the can if I have to.. The point is my lone cup of coffee in the morning with its splash of cream to "lighten it up"... Not going to make a bit of difference in my battle with weight. If it does than I'll tape a 5lb weight to the bottom of my cup to make up the difference. LOL.

I agree...in any diet you need to have a luxury item or you feel deprived and sabotage the whole thing. My luxuries are pure food. I don't eat any chemically derived crap. If i can't recognize some sort of the original food source in the food I'm eating - I don't eat it. Therefore the only thing I would put in my coffee would be pure cream...small amounts are allowed...just don't be drinking a mug of cream w/ a splash of coffee...and only allow yourself one cup.
Coffee and chocolate are my sacred items. Since I only allow myself one I allow myself the best I can find.

Heavy cream does have some carbs--even if the label says none.manufacturers are allowed to say 0 if it is less than 1. I mix my heavy cream with water--1part cream to 3 parts water. Minimal carbs, still very good in coffee. I,too, no matter what will not sacrifice my coffee!

Splenda makes little pkts you can add to your coffee for flavor...Mocha,Hazelnut, and Vanilla. They are found in the coffee isle...then add A tablespoon of heavy cream...Does the trick for me.

You can use coconut milk, I always add coconut milk in my coffee after I stopped to eat and drink dairy, it tastes very good and doesn't contain much sugar.
