I feel great! When I started this I was able to do only 15 minutes on the Elliptical machine level 1; now days I'm doing 40 to 60 minutes a day in the mornings (5 to 6 AM) I feel energized the whole day!!
Exercising and eating healthy are now becoming a part of me, I really don't think I can go back to eat junk food again, I see burgers or donuts and I think, how in the world did I eat that!! Tracking my weight daily has helping me to eat more healthy each day and also to make sure I exercise!
I like what I see in the mirror now!

I'm really trying to get motivated to walk in the mornings before work. When I worked out that early, I felt great all day. I need to stop making excuses and just do it!!
Great job!!!

When I started doing the elliptical again I was only able to do 5 minutes! Now I regularly do 30 minutes with a 5 minute cool down while peddling backwards. Just recently added two 50 minute stints a couple of times a week. The best time for me to workout is late in the evening. I know the "standard" recommendations are no exercise after about 5pm, but 10pm works best for my schedule. Then I do relaxation yoga for 30 minutes. And I sleep like a baby.

I have been shying away from this machine because I feel so uncoordinated on it and my legs feel like jelly so quickly, any suggestions?

@mrs smith1, the only way to get around that is to do it on a regular basis. I built up my endurance on it in a specific way; at the time I think I was doing about 40 min of cardio a day. I would start on the elliptical, go as long as I could, the finish it out on the treadmill. At first, like heart44, I could only do 5 min before I had to switch. But the next day, I made it to 10 min. It got better every day, & within a couple of weeks I could do the whole session on elliptical.
Depending on how often you do cardio it might take more time to work up to a full session, but since you mentioned knee pain, this would be a really great alternative for you if you give it a chance!

I can do Jillian Michaels, The Firm, Cindy...etc, etc...
I can walk and walk and walk...run if I'm being chased and ride a bike with no problem BUT I'm with you...ellipticals scare me! I always feel like I'm gonna come crashing down!
Props...major props for going for an hour!
