What's a good motto for life and weight loss?

For example:

Losing Weight, Gaining a New Perspective

Self-discipline is the ability to make yourself do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not. -Elbert Hubbard

That's my favorite quote. It reminds me that no matter how hard life is, it doesn't entitle me to eat candy or skip working out.
It's not only about adding years to your life, but also about adding life to your years.

For weight loss, I like to keep it simple:

Eat less. Eat right. Move more.

For life in general, I have always liked the less serious:

very funny !!! Don't we all learn to fake it sometimes?

I think I can live by the weight loss motto. I think that really works.

My favorite inspirational quote has always been: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined."

For running inspiration, I recently adopted: "Trample the weak. Hurdle the dead." Very Happy

When I say 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

I revert to the classic comedies for a number of life's lessons. From Animal House: "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son." - Dean Vernon Wormer, Faber College

"You have one true obligation, that's to contribute your best to the world. Visualize what you want & think big. Don't be afraid of what others think. We're all deserving of our dreams. Some of us realize it, some don't. You're not doing anyone any favors by living small. Embrace these truths and step up...the world is waiting."

I like this one: There are two things I can control in life: (1) what I put in my mouth; and (2) how I treat my body.

I keep mine in my signature so I don't forget them Smile

You say you want a cheeseburger but all I hear is "I need love" - a comic strip on the fridge at work.

You have failed only when you quit trying. Until then, you're still in the act of progression. So, never quit trying and you'll never be a failure.
