I'm getting married in June and I have been trying to get rid of my last 10 pounds for good! I have lost and gained weight over the last few years but I just can't seem to get those last 10 pounds off for good. I know what I need to do to get rid of it I just have a hard time doing it and consistently work out and eat well. I'm interested in hearing how people have really pushed themselves to lose that last 10 pounds and keep it off.

Well, after my last powerlifting meet in May 2010, I decided to cut weight. With a total 25lb goal, I am now on my last 8-10 lbs. Assuming you have no recurring injuries or medical issues, running (and other cardio), diet, and resistance training are going to get the weight off.
Run 3-4 days a week, intervals and longer runs. 1 day of low impact cardio to give your knees and legs a break(rowing, elliptical, walking). 3 days of resistance training to keep your strength and keep your lean muscle in order to maximize calorie burn.

Yes! I'm on my last 12 or so... I feel like I'm barely losing anymore, and I don't want to cut my calories too much! I guess we just have to exercise more!

Ya I think I need to be more consistent about eating well and going to the gym. I already do 2 weight lifting classes and 2 cardio workouts on my own a week (most of the time) so I'm going to try a step class too to see if that helps kickstart my weightloss. I'm also going to try and eat more lean protein and salads too (am already eating fruit and veggies and whole grains throughout the day).
Thanks for the advice and good luck to you on your journey!

yes! I've been trying for months to loose 10-15 pounds - I ramped up my exercise and watched everything I ate and the scale did not budge- although I just joined a weight lifting class and had my body fat tested and was surprised that I had less body fat than I thought- so all of the exercise built muscles I never had - hopefully now I'll start seeing a change in my pant size?
