My X told me that if I loss 50 lbs he would marry me again. What kind of incentive is that? He's crazy! I'm in this program for ME and I am going to win this battle of the bulge. You guys with me?

Wow! He must not want you to lose weight!

I had the something similar happen during my divorce. When I was losing weight the divorce would always stall out and he'd want to "go to councilling". I took the easy way out and just stayed chubby until the divorce was finalized.

Did discover however that there are alotta men who like a chubby woman =)

Yeah there are a lot of men who like chubby girls... I had the time of my life after my divorce...well as much fun as I could before I started seriously seeing my now husband. LOL besides dear, he is an ex for a reason... I have a list of men I don't date. Firemen, Policemen, Paramedics, Cowboys, and exes. Especially exes... Either he loves you the way you are or he doesn't love you at all. You do this for you and don't think twice about it. Doing it for anyone else is the surest way to keep it from happening. Your weight loss journey has to be yours, because you want to be better, healthier, happier. Not because someone else wants you to be better. No one else has the right to say that you are not good enough. Only you get to decide to change you...

Oh boy sharpergirl, I don't know about that. If a man loves you, he loves YOU, not what he wants you to look like. You're right, do this for yourself NOT for him. Look around, there are guys out there that will love you "as you are", not how they would like you to be. Be strong and when you get skinny, give him the one finger salute ~ LOL

Agree. If he puts all kinds of conditions on love, he's not worth it. You're better off kicking him to the curb.

HMMM...Sounds like my ex......now that is why we call em exes....LOL The other posters are absolutely right, there are fella's that like their ladies with a little extra. I married the most wonderful man as a chubby girl and after pregnancy I'm a bit chubbier and he still loves me. You are so right, we do this for ourselves and to think that by doing it for someone else will make us happy, we would be sadly mistaken.

Just curious, are you allowed to age? I'd get that noted down. Also what are the provisions for prolonged illness or injury? Like I assume he's allowed a quickie if you get the flu until you recover.

Tell him that if he's 50 pounds nicer to you then you'll consider it.

Tell him you've already lost 200lbs of fat, bloated, useless, dead weight (i.e. HIM) and that you couldn't be happier with how things are and have no desire to re-experience the past. Then go out with your girlfriends and enjoy life by looking for what's beyond the horizon...

Technut hit the nail on the head!! Good riddance!

I had a BF (now ex) offer to buy me an outfit for my birthday in a size smaller than what I wore. What a jerk.....I wasn't even big at the time.

lol. I would have taken him up on it, got the outfit, dumped him, and then exchanged it for the right size =)

I have to agree with all of you...I am on hubby number 3. He was either "3 strikes and you're out or third times the charm" Thank goodness it was the last one. He fell in love with me at over 250 lbs and would stay with me through thicker or thinner. We are both taking this journey to getting healthy so that we can live, love and laugh together forever.

Yes, cashew nuts are richer in carbs that other nuts. That must be why they taste slightly sweet.
