Is there a place on this site where I can see alerts for new comments on my pictures/posts/etc? I have had people comment but have not seen any type of alert or message, I just happened to look at my post again and see someone's comment!

Thanks! My bad if I'm being blind!

I wish! I haven't found one either, but I did just find three comments that I was completely unaware of.

This is definitely the reason there's not much activity on the groups. Unless you go and check, there's no way of knowing if someone replied to something you wrote. It's probably why the forums aren't that busy either. This site has many members, but not many who post on the forums.

I wish there were Facebook style notifications here.

Yes, Facebook is exactly what I was thinking of. They should really add that feature!

I've been on this site for almost 2 years now and there's never been a structural change (aside from the addition of banner ads) so I wouldn't hold my breath Wink

I've wondered the same thing...

Though there is a fatsecret app called My Diet that you can link to your facebook.

I just added it yesterday but haven't figured it out yet.

Interesting. What's the purpose of having it on FB, though?

You can access everything from one site that way, it just acts as another application. You can make it private, public or share with friends and stuff like that. I personaly don't like it. Not everyone on my facebook knows about my health, or needs to read my health related journals, so I feel they should remain seperate. But that's just me :] hope that helps with your question.

From any page click on "My FatSecret" at the top left of the page. Then under recent activity, click where it says "me". That will narrow it down to what you have done/posted and who has replied to you. You can also check by activity in your groups and what your buddies have posted by clicking on the different links. It doesn't notify you but if you check that each time you log on you can find everything more quickly. Hope that helps. It has helped me!
August 1, 2005 I weighed in at 415 lbs! I am not that person anymore but I am not the person I want to be either. I have started a new journey to lose ALL the weight and gain the whole ME Smile

Shannon- that's what I discovered too- it's much better than going to every posting to see haha! Thanks Smile

Shae- I don't think I would like that either. It seems like everything is linked to FB these days. People don't need to know all of my biz-nass. lol
