Suggestion - Edit Recipes

It would be awesome if there was a feature to edit recipe's in Fat Secret. There have been some terrific recipes that I found and use, but I make it slightly different. For now, I have just gone ahead and added the recipe as is, and once or twice i re-enter the whole thing with my changes. is there a way that we could have a feature to edit recipe's?

I'm having this same problem. I can't even edit my own recipe. It's my first try entering one and I put in the wrong kind of meat. I can't figure out how to edit it, or even delete it and start over. >Sad

My wife and I would also like this feature we have entered several recipes but she entered the wrong serving size for one and cannot even change that.

I'm looking for the same thing. I wanted to be able to use a submitted recipe but make my changes to it. Maybe we can reenter it as our own and not share it?

I second both these as feature requests: 1) ability to edit recipes that I've created; 2) ability to utilize another recipe with minor adjustments.

As long as they don't make a feature that permanently changes the entire recipe for everyone who uses it, I'd totally second that. =) But until then, I simply enter recipes the way I make them when I need to use them. =). (I do it for non-recipes like fiber one waffles, too, since i make them differently than the box...)

I've always wished for a copy recipe functionality.

I also *really* want the ability to use a serving of a recipe inside another recipe. For example, I might make homemade pesto then use that pesto in another recipe.

Ok maybe someone can help me? I'm a newcomer and I have a few questions after trying to add my own recipes. None of my submissions have been approved but I continue adding recipes because its the easiest way to calculate the nutritionals for what I'm making. (Is there any easier way to do that?) One major problem I'm having is that a lot of items do not have the serving sizes that I need. For instance I wanted something to be 1/4 cup but the serving size listed in the database was something different. Now my recipe reads: 2 servings 1/4 cup ingredient Or I'll need tsp. but the only option is TBSP. Am I doing something wrong? Its driving me crazy!

I would also really like the ability to include a recipe inside another recipe. This would be a very useful feature.

Hi ceececarmaa, I too encountered the same issue with the serving sizes on the dbase. To get around it I either enter my own food in the database with the serving from the package, or just make the conversion on the current item. For instance, if the serving indicates 1 TBSP and I want 1 tsp, I enter it as 0.333 (1 TBSP=3 tsp). Hope this helps!
