Hi Ms Froggy, What do you mean by plateau? A true plateau is when you don't lose inches or pounds for quite a while. Even when I don't lose weight ( I lose slowly) I still lose inches. Are you measuring yourself? Are you clothes looser? There are other things to go by and not just the scale. You can get a lot of help on the Atkins forums, a lot of knowledgeable people are there. Go to and create an account, I think you will like it!

Certainly don't give up, never, ever!

For me there's good carbs and bad carbs and not really a strict atkins approach. But am sure that's not the purest approach.

Hang tough.
I feel trim and terrific - well I will eventually!

This site, phone app, and support here make it really easy to stay on track. First 2 weeks on Atkins (or any diet) are the hardest. Stick to it and it'll work!

You can do it! Atkins is a fun way to eat and the people on this site are wonderful and encouraging and so helpful! You came to the right place.
It’s not perfection–it’s persistence in the pursuit of being healthy. If you stumble and fall, then you simply get back up again and start anew. That’s what makes this journey one worth taking day in and day out. The bottom line is this: NEVER EVER GIVE UP and keep going even when you think it’s just not worth it anymore.
