I wanted to ask everyones thoughts on why I all of a sudden I look 3mo pregnant? I have been going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week, three days I do 40min of weights one day upper body the next lower and ever day abbs with 20min of cardio,other days I do abbs 20 min with 30 to 40min cardio. My stomach has all of a sudden bloated out and I look pg. Can anyone tell me what is going on and how long this will last? I also just increased my cal to 1700 which is what fs says I should be at. Before I was averging around 1360 to 1400 a day.
What should I be doing different? I keep gaining...three lbs in the last two weeks. HELP!

I'm so confused and I just want to make sure I dont need to worry. i look pregnant and bloated- but way beyond what id ever consider normal bloating for period time or water weight or anything so Im concerned.

Did you resolve this issue yet or find out what caused it???

Still don't know what caused it but it is getting better. Still a little bloated. I lost three lbs and I increased my water intake.
I tried to research but I don't even know what to put in google to figure it out. I guess I will just keep going and see if it keeps getting better

Its PMS. my lower stomach turns into a hard bloated knot around that time, and it usually comes with a little weight gain and water retention. Drink tons of water and it should be gone in a few days.

I actually took a pregnancy test last month because I'm not used to seeing that! Thankfully, it was just PMS.

Have you tried Midol or something like that? I've never tried it, but supposedly it "reduces bloating". Anybody tried it?

I have this same issue...I feel like I wake up thin and I go to bed fat! My belly bloats a RIDICULOUS amount during the day. I am rather thin, but my family has always suffered from larger waist lines, so maybe that's why. My friend, who has celiacs, suggested that I might have it too, but I'm too horrified by that thought to give up gluten!

Let me ask everyone, how long does it take to start losing in your stomach? I have been eating healthy and working out for three months now and don't notice a difference in my clothes. My brother-in-law has celiacs and I could not imagine giving up all that food. What would you eat?? I have made some pretty gluten free recipes b/c he comes over or we go there and I guess if I had to I would have to find as many recipes as I could to replace what I eat now. They are out there you just have to find them. I love to cook!

for whatever happened to me this week, it was more than PMS. although being close to my period couldve heightened it. but you do not gain 15 pounds on your period. that's not ok or norma. i think it's a cortisol thing and i just started taking a Thyroid and Adrenal Fatigue Vitamin... I have most of the symptoms to those issues and i think my body was trying to tell me it needed a little extra help! For women carrying a "suspect" amt of weight in your midsection that does not line up with the rest of your body, you might want to look up those topics- cortisol, hypothyroid, and adrenal fatigue... a couple of girls hve already said, "yeah I have that problem, but i started losing weight when i began a supplement!"

That would be scary. Just after I finished chemo for breast cancer, they started me on an oral medication. On day I gained SIX POUNDS and freaked out! I called my doctor and she reminded me that it was hot at the time and her toes looked like little sausages.

She recommend an OTC water pill. I used something called "Water Balance" (or something like that) from Whole Foods. Did the trick. Still use it from time to time if I need it.

I'd talk to your physician if you're worried about it. It will put your mind at ease.
