anyone watching this?

i need someone like that pushing my ass! i work out but i deffinately don't push myself the way she pushes those people. from now on im going to talk to myself the way she talks to them.

especially

"if your out of breathe your not going to die!"

lol. i deffinately need to remember that.

and just constantly tell myself i have more to give and to push through.

no more talking myself out of doing what needs to be done.

I'm awful at pushing myself. I don't mind making my muscles burn and ache, but I end up taking a break very soon after I start breathing too hard. I have asthma, and I'm pretty paranoid about like passing out or something (has never happened or come close to happening).

I should start doing this. Not the "losing it with Jillian" stuff but definitely talking to myself while doing cardio and keeping at it even after breathing starts to hurt.
I will be good!

I was just thinking to myself last night as I was watching it how, when I just start breaking a sweat good, I stop. I used the Wii Fit and I gave up after 22 minutes. *Didn't help that my kids were all around laughing at me. Whenever I start exercising, I start small and then build up. She has them jumping right in it. OMG, I LOVE her, but I think she would have me in tears. So far, both shows, I've cried both times.

Scavid - I have asthma too & I have on more than a few times in my younger years, pushed myself too far into an attack that caused me to black out & the paramedics called to the school on 2 occasions. My advice, if you've ever had a mildly bad attack & you know how your body starts to react/feel when this is happening, BACK OFF!! If you know that info, you can push yourself hard enough w/o having any problems. I push myself hard all the time, esp when I use machines to workout on. The key for me is to watch how I'm feeling & monitor my heart rate.

Jillian is AWESOME!! Wish I hadn't missed last night's show.

I absolutely love this show! I like how she stays with the family for a week. I'd love her to train me, but she would have me in tears in a matter of minutes.

Oh that was on last night!?! I watched last week's and bawled. I would love her to be in my face. I love when she climbs on whatever machine someone may be on and gets in their face..."GET UP AND DO THIS!" She's like allergic to the word "can't." It drives her even more batty and I'm even more intrigued on how things will play out. I like that she backs you into a corner and gets to the root of why you have gotten to the place you currently are. She just pushes it out of you. Good stuff. Smile

I love Jillian. I love that she has struggled with her weight before and that she understands. It's like she was one of us before. I think that's what means the most. She know that excuses don't lose the weight, working at it does. She also knows that it is deeper than just food and exercise.

I just want to say that I think you're kicking butt on your journey so far. As for the root of your problem, I wonder if a counselor or someone else would be able to help talk you through to a breakthrough. One of the concerns is if you don't find and fix the root cause, your weight loss COULD be temporary, especially if that trigger occurs again.

omg ur awesome just for saying that!! gaining back is what im worried about as well. i mean i know i've had a rough life(who hasn't) but i feel like i've left the past in the past and moved on so i cant pin point anything specific. i had a bad experience with a counselor once so im not a big fan. lol. i might just have to go though.. thanks a bunch for ur kind words!
