Anyone noticed that they gained/gaining weight while in pre-menopause?
I lost weight and kept it off and the last 2 weeks am gaining but still sticking to my plan on WW and training. What can it be caused from, I dont want to leave it and only do something when its too late - I need to keep it in check ASAP.

yes, i can totally relate. i think menopause does cause problems with the loss factor, i've been on program over a year, and although i can't blame all of it on menopause(cause i have strayed on occasion), but i was losing at a fairly regular pace and then nothing. and where on days or weeks when i did stray i would see a 1-2 pound gain, i was seeing as much as 5-7 pound gains(ridiculous!)and then it seemed impossible to get it back off. i finally did a one week very strict low carb thing(only one week, cause your body can't deal with more than that)and now i have had a significant loss, hopefully this has boosted my metabolism, and i'll continue to lose. hormomes are a hell of a thing!

So very frustrating..I gained about 8 lbs in a week..and that week went to gym 6x and kept to my WW points.
I am so frustrated as this is the first time I've struggled, if I cheated I would say *OK* but not.
Thanks.

Marcy in the past I did an 150 mile bike ride for charity and GAINED weight. It blew my MIND. How was that possible? Dont get discouraged- it will happen. I really have been under my points. I think I could have 23 or 24 a day and I am eatting what I want but am at about 18 a day. Which is where I will have to be closer to my goal. So I am not going to get used to eatting more so I can just get pissed later on when I cant have what I want. Keep at it!!! I have never been this big that I was not 9 months pregnant! So I am really aggravated with myself for getting to this point! Its feeling good to be putting it in reverse!!!!

Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
