Has anyone tried the new diet pill adipex? I had it prescribed by my doctor. I've been taking it for 5 days. It really helps curb my appetite. I know someone who lost 20lbs in 3 month on it.

I've taken Phendimetrazine which is like Phentermine, I just remember it giving me headaches. I'm not sure though, I've taken a lot of diet pills in my days and most times I think its more placebo effect then anything. Good luck with that though! Are you exercising as well?

A couple of years ago, I took adipex for a couple of months and the first week it curbed my appetite a LOT. After that, not so much. It was as though my body adjusted to it or something. I kind of agree with Want2BFit and wonder if it's not just a placebo after a certain length of time. I think it would probably work well as a supplement for someone who was watching what they were eating and exercising. At that time, I was looking for something to do all the work for me because I wasn't totally committed to doing the work myself. Good luck!

I gain a good 5-10lbs when I begin lifting again after a lay off. It's natural. You retain water in healing muscles.
