I love Jamba Juice Smoothies and I've been able to make some pretty good ones at home. The key ingredients are: nonfat yogurt (plain is fine), frozen fruits (your choice), juice (apple always works), and most important? Sherbet! A handful of ice, blend everything and Voila! I also freeze bananas and add 1. 1/2 cup of each ingredient works well. Play with your favorite flavors and Enjoy, guilt-free.

I use fresh fruit like peaches, strawberries or blueberries add flavored whey protein powder, ice and water and make some pretty good low carb low glycemic, low calorie high protein desserts.

Yup: Frozen fruits (bananas, strawberries - my favorites) and a few ice cubes for bulk, with low fat yogurt, a small amount of sweetener (squirt of honey). Sometimes I'll add almond milk or low fat milk (4-8 ounces) but I'll watch the cal count to make sure it stays within my goal. The hardest part is not to add too much of the high cal stuff like the milks. Favor the frozen fruits. Be very careful with fruit juice - it is very high in cals. I would never put more then 4 oz in one drink.

All the best,

You can't mess up a smoothie and they all taste pretty good.
Experiment with your favorite fruits. (There is a smoothie recipe under the FS recipes section that has spinach in it that I am going to try.) I sometimes add ground flaxseed to add some nutty flavor and omega-3 nutrition. I slice up bananas and freeze them for a quick smoothie. The frozen bananas add loads of thickness!

I made a smoothie for my breakfast this morning: (under 300 calories)

1/2 cup Acai juice
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
2 ice cubes
1/2 banana
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
Mix in blender.

Anything goes in a smoothie. You can easily track the nutrition with FS, so you can adapt it to whatever diet plan you follow!

So frustrated!
8 pounds in a month is pretty great. That is 2 pounds per week. That is the far-end of the range of what you can leave and keep it off.
