WW Points calculating question

Ok, I have been gathering info from the internet and purchased my own hand held WW Calculator from the WW store, but I have never officially joined WW or gone to meetings.

I understand how to calculate points, but if I eat more than one serving of something then I don't know how to treat the points.

Example. One Hickory Farms Smoked Turkey Sausage Link = 3 points. Now, if I double their nutrition facts before typing them into the calculator it will say = 7 points. So if I have eaten 2 of these for dinner, should it equal 6 points or 7 points?

That's because you need to join W.W.

It would be 7 points. I know if it would be nice to be only 6, but when you add two of them together I am assuming that the additional fat that you would get with 2 puts it over the 6 points and makes it 7. When I was a online member of WW I found that many foods when doubled, doubled the points plus 1, occasionally it works the other way and for 2 it drops down 1 point totally depends on the food.

No, that's why I ask questions and get responses from people who are willing to help. I have NO DESIRE whatsoever to go to required meetings, etc or pay for something I can do for free with the support of my friends.

Thanks for the quick response to my question. I was afraid that may be the case, which is what I have been doing for counting my points. I was just kinda hoping I would have some extra points left for the week!Wink

Yeah, it's true. If you eat like 3 "1 point" bars in one sitting, it's more than 3 points, it's more like 4 or 5 points. I think it has to do with the fiber maxing out at a certain level (like 4 grams)
Use your discretion. It won't make or break your diet!
