I've been on the Atkin's nutritional approach since mid-April. If you looked at my weight chart it resembles a downward sloping zig zag. My pattern is to lose weight to a new low, immediately climb back up 2-3 lbs and start working my way down until that new low is my new average then repeat the cycle. I will often go 2 weeks without losing any new weight then drop 1-2 lbs.
This is actually very average. I have lost at a weekly .84 lb average. That's low-medium as most people vary between .5-2 lbs per week.
