I don't know how often tuchler posts, so I thought I'd chime in...
I've been running for the past year and I have my first half marathon (13.1 miles) on August 23rd. I eat lots of whole grains, fruit, legumes, veggies, and Gatorade or GU on runs longer than 5 miles.
A typical day for me might be...
whole wheat bagel topped w/ natural peanut butter and honey
1/4 of a melon
glass of 100% orange juice
Bean burritos w/ pico on whole grain tortillas
blue corn chips w/ salsa
whole wheat personal pizza w/ veggie toppings
