WOW! I said I was going to shake it up a bit, I had not done a Billy Blanks DVD before. One of my daughters bought me a Billy Blanks Elite Boot Camp kit, it came with the Billy Bands and 3 DVD's. I started with Mission 1, I did the workout, about 35-40 minutes worth. The only thing I did different was when they seemed to kick into a blur, faster, faster, I stayed with the original one about half of the time. You will understand when you see it. The huge difference between the other boot camp DVD's I have and this one is, I am soaked, sweat was dripping into my eyes. I feel like I just got out of the shower. If you need to shake it up, Billy Blanks Boot Camp DVD's will do it for you. And I loved the motivational thoughts he shares at the end of the workout. I am not tired anymore, a friend called and asked if I wanted to go to a movie this afternoon, I said yes, so it is off to the the shower and off to have fun. Happy working out to all of you.

Glad you enjoyed yourself and kudos to you for doing the workout. I have one of his Tae-Bo "Cardio" DVD's but I can't stand doing it because of the never-ending counting of 1 to 8 every person in the class does which drives me nuts. I don't know if the same format is on your DVD's but I tip my hat to you if you can workout through it.

Sweetalot, It does have the same format. I can not hardly hear them counting most of the time, and when I do I just tune them out so I just count from 1 to whatever and most of the time I am not even counting. I stay focused on Billy, he is not counting, I do not pay much attention to the others unless he is coaching and I need to be sure I am doing it right. They are so fast and have so much energy, ah, to be young again to be able to do it the way they can. Maybe try it again and just tune them out.

Thanks for the reply. Right now, I'm getting in real good tough shape with the Biggest Loser fitness DVD's. If I didn't throw out the DVD when I did a clean up a few months ago in my series, I might try it again. Then, again, I'm not 22 anymore myself - LOL!!

Sweetalot, I totally understand, Biggest Loser is good too, which one do you have? What is on the cover? There are many of them out. I will do my Biggest Loser one too and soon to mix it up, but I am feeling a difference in my legs, thighs, and butt so that is something I want to keep with for a while. It is so hard to just do it at times. I am breaking my walking up today, the cardio really takes it out of me. I walk and watch tv but I read that people who work out to fast music get a better work out, I think I will try that later when I start my walking again. I watched some of John Travolta's Staying Alive earlier and when the music started I cranked up my treadmill. And by the way, I did hear them counting on Billy B. DVD and started doing that, it actually helped me a bit but then I lose focus on counting and I am back with 18,19,10. Crazy! Have a great day. Smile

Hi, wecandothis.

I have the Biggest Loser "Bootcamp" and "Yoga for Weightloss" which features Bob Harper; "Volume II" which has Bob & Kim Lyons as our trainers; as well as Jillian Michael's "30-Day Shred". I mix them up so that I'm not always doing the same one over and over again. I may be 45 years old but I'm treating myself as if I were 35.

I saw a trailer for the "Cardio Max" workout the other night and I might get this one too for those days I want a more intense cardio.

Putting faster music to your walking on the treadmill is a good idea to boost your cardio. Do the best you can, give it your all but most of all, don't injure yourself or overdo it. Any fitness we do at any age is good for us. Take care.

WECANDOTHIS~ I'm a huge fan of Billy Blank's bootcamp as well as Jillian's 30DS... I find both really work me out and make me sore the next day (I love feeling sore because it makes me feel like I've actually done something)... My new fave DVD is Turbo Jam... I love the music and how personable she is. I could keep rambling and rambling...!

I agree with you 100% WECANDOTHIS. I have the billy blanks bootcamp as well and LOVE them!!! I use the billy bands which make my arms feel like they are going to fall off. I like it because when I'm doing the work-outs a couple x's a week I see definition quickly. I feel like I look leaner. I know he came out with more recent dvd's but these kick butt routines!
